The National Land Agency (NLA) is an Executive Agency that falls under the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation. The establishment of the NLA is the result of the Public Sector Modernisation Programme of the Government of Jamaica. It brings together the core land information functions of Government under one roof, and includes: Land Titles; Surveys & Mapping; Land Valuation & Estate (Crown Land) Management. This merger enables the Government to build on the synergy of these combined functions and create a modern national land (spatial) information system to support sustainable development.

    eLandjamaica is a product that provides a wide variety of searches that can be accessed via a map interface or textual search. Some of the information provided by eLandjamaica can be accessed for free and others through a subscription service.

    The free searches typical provide general information such as property information, land valuation number and land title number only.

Certificate of Title

The Certificate of Title represents the indefeasible interest of the person reflected on the document as the owner.

Caveat Card

A caveat is an injunction to the Registrar of Titles restraining the registration of any dealing affecting the ownership of the land without notifying the caveator.

Deposited Plan

Deposited Plans (DP) define legal boundaries of land and often record subdivisions. Only images are available.

Enclosure Plan

An enclosure plan is a sketch outline of a map containing parcels within the valuation roll. Only images are available.

Registered Instrument

Registered instruments are documents recorded against a titled that was lodged at the Registrar of Land Titles.

Strata Plan

The strata plan is a subdivision of a parcel of Real Property land into separate lots and common property.

Valuation Roll Report

The Valuation Roll Report is a record of data relating to all parcels of land in Jamaica, maintained primarily to support the property tax system.

What is eLandjamaica?

eLandjamaica is an internet-based service offered by the National Land Agency that allow users both locally and internationally to access Jamaica’s land-related documents, these includes: Certificates of Title, Deposited Plans, Strata Plans, Enclosure Plans, Caveat Cards and Registered Instruments. Payments can be made online using a credit or visa debit credit card. Additionally, the eLandjamaica Application boasts a free mapping component that allow customers the opportunity to conduct spatial searches.

How do I get access to eLandjamaica?

You may access eLandjamaica via https://elandjamaica.nla.gov.jm/elandjamaica or by visiting the National Land Agency’s website at: https://nla.gov.jm/

Why do I need an email address?

You will need a valid e-mail address to obtain your Multi- Factor Authentication Code to login in to your account. Additionally, the documents that are purchased will be sent to your e-mail account via a link. This allows you to have electronic access to the document for seven (7) days after your purchase.

How do I pay for searches I conduct using eLandjamaica?

  • You may access the payment Gateway platform through the eLandjamaica Application and pay for search online with a credit card.
  • Setting up an account online and paying for searches with funds that are credited to the account.
  • Visiting any one of our offices, and making payment to create an account via cash, manager’s-cheque, debit or credit card.

Do I need to register my Credit Card before purchasing documents via eLandjamaica?

No, once you are directed to the payment portal, enter your credit card details to make your purchase.

How do I create an account online?

Creating an account online is easy... All you have to do is click on the “Guest Tab” located at the top of the screen and click “Register Now” and complete all required fields.

If I want to search for several documents, do I have to pay for each document individually?

No, eLandjamaica has added a “Shopping Cart Feature” to ensure that this does not have to be done. You can search for several documents and add to your Shopping Cart. You can view your cart periodically to see the documents you have selected; you will only be asked to make a payment when you have selected the Check-out Tab.

NB. In addition, you can choose to delete items from your Shopping Cart before you have made payment if you choose not to purchase the document.

Do I have to pay to use the mapping component of eLandjamaica?

No, the mapping component is a complementary service, this simple means our customers are allowed to browse for free before making their purchases.

What is the process of getting a document that is not available on eLandjamaica?

If a document is not available on eLandjamaica at the time of your search, you may call in, visit our Live Web Chat on our website or email the information to customercare.elandjamaica@nla.gov.jm. The document will be uploaded to the site within two (2) business days of the request; thereafter you will be advised by a Customer Service Representative when this is completed.

How do I get a document if it is not available on eLandjamaica  and money was deducted from my account?

We are currently working to ensure 100% satisfaction; however, we do recognize that from time to time you may experience difficulties in accessing documents. If this happens, click on the Customer Service Tab on the eLandjamaica platform; enter the information about the document you were searching for and click send. This email will automatically go to the Customer Care Centre where your request will be processed within one (1) business day..

What do I do if I keep getting authentication failed when I am logging on as an account holder?

Check if the caps lock is on to make sure you are using the correct word case; the login is case sensitive. Clear the cookies on your computer. Cookies are the lists of pages you view on the internet, that are stored in a special folder for quick viewing. If this folder is full then you will not be able to view the eLandjamaica page. To clear cookies, go to Tools > Internet Options > then click on delete cookies and clear history. Lower your security settings (firewall) this could be blocking the eLandjamaica page.

What Account types are available on eLandjamaica?

  • Company Account: This account is ideal for companies that require multiple eLandjamaica Sub-Accounts. The company administrator has oversight responsibility to create and manage Sub-Accounts. This account type offers the company greater accountability, flexibility and control over its finances and is used to make purchases and generate reports
  • Sub-Account: This account is directly linked and managed by the Company Account administrator. The administrator sets the spending limit and access period for the user to conduct transactions.
  • Individual Account: This account is ideal for individuals and small companies that require only one eLandjamaica account. It provides the user with the ability to make purchases and generate transaction reports.
